For professionals

Our purpose

We offer a humane and specialized treatment focused on the medical, psychological, emotional and social needs of people with tuberculosis entrusted to us by hospitals, public health and health centers. We guarantee the isolation of the person while they are in a period of transmissibility of the disease and adherence to treatment, as well as the address of any other need while they are in our center.

We maintain communication about the condition of the person and his evolution with the different health care professionals in the region keeping them informed about the patient’s condition and progress, whether related to tuberculosis or any other health condition. This helps ensure continued engagement with both health and social care services.
We offer the most modern technologies, diagnostic tests and treatments for each person at each moment of their recovery process as well as an approach to physical, psychological, and social care and physiotherapy to ensure a prompt recovery and retorn to normal life.

The theme of World TB Day 2026 —”Yes! We can end tuberculosis! “— is a bold call to action and a message of hope, affirming that it is possible to get back on track and change the course of the TB epidemic, even in a challenging global environment

In order to apply for admission for either of the two modalities, TB clinic or ETODA, it is necessary to fill in forms with basic information that will be assessed by the Medical, Nursing and Social Management teams.

Each case will be evaluated in order to offer you an admission to an inpatient bed or the best alternative for outpatient treatment. The information is collected in a safe space and is quickly assessed in order to provide an answer as soon as possible.

We promote continuous professional development and knowledge transfer, contributing to the generation of scientific evidence, the advancement of knowledge in the field of tuberculosis and the response to emerging public health challenges.

We participate in clinical, epidemiological and social research projects aimed at gaining a better understanding of the profile of the people we serve, evaluating the effectiveness of interventions, and driving the continuous improvement of care quality. We also promote digital innovation initiatives designed to enhance the monitoring and care of people with tuberculosis.

The projects in which we participate are both on our own initiative and in collaboration with other entities in the territory. The main lines of research include, among others:

  • Characterization of people with tuberculosis and factors associated with lack of adherence to treatment and loss of follow-up.
  • Impact of mental health and other social and health risk factors on the evolution and control of tuberculosis.
  • Modelling of disease incidence.
  • Multi-drug resistance, comorbidities and adverse events of treatments.

This section provides tools, protocols and resources for professionals involved in the care of people with tuberculosis, particularly in situations of social or clinical vulnerability. Its aim is to support a coordinated, efficient and person-centred approach to care.
